Adventures on the Great Miami opens throughout the spring and summer to provide exactly what the name suggests! It is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. seven days a week, weather permitting. The final trip for each day leaves at 4 p.m. to return no later than 7 p.m. The company maintains a gorgeous property of 32 riverfront acres. This enables a truly incredible spread of canoeing, kayaking, rafting, and plenty of special event space.

The Great Miami River National Water Trail is found spread across more than 150 miles of publicly accessible waterway. Downtown Dayton River Kayaking is available right from Dayton. You can get started directly from the Mad River Trail. This is a trail of nearly seven miles. A paved, multi-use area popular for hiking and cycling leads to river access. You can traverse the river from an entry point there or continue to hike up the trail to Huffman Dam, which provides a truly spectacular view.
